Beyond Meat said it appointed Brijesh Krishnaswamy as its chief operating officer, effective Sep. 30.

Krishnaswamy, who succeeds interim COO John Boken, will join the company on a part-time basis on Aug. 24.

The plant-based protein company said Krishnaswamy has most recently served as chief commercial officer with Olam Food Ingredients, where he's worked for over 20 years in a variety of roles.

Krishnaswamy will have a base salary of $110,000 annually while he works part time. Upon full-time employment his base salary will increase to $550,000 annually.

The company also said Beyond Meat founder and Chief Executive Ethan Brown will return to the board to serve as Class III director.

Brown has served as CEO since the company's inception in 2009, Beyond Meat said. He left the board in 2025 as part of a board restructuring tied to a debt exchange offer.
