Mitsubishi Electric (TYO:6503) plans to invest about $30 million to convert a portion of its manufacturing facility in Mason, Ohio, into a facility producing cooling systems for data centers, the company said Thursday.
The production will be carried out via a new company that Mitsubishi Electric will establish in August, called MEHITS US.
The facility is expected to go operational from April 2027.
Shares of Mitsubishi Electric added nearly 7% in recent trade.
