Komatsu Unit Partners with AIM for US Autonomous Construction

Komatsu (TYO:6301) unit EARTHBRAIN partnered with AIM Intelligent Machines to commercially deploy autonomous construction solutions in the U.S., according to a statement on Thursday.
The solution integrates EARTHBRAIN's Smart Construction planning data with AIM's physical AI platform, enabling bulldozers and excavators to autonomously determine work methods and routes for construction tasks.
The companies said the partnership aims to automate construction workflows, help address labor shortages and accelerate digitalization in the industry.
They plan to expand the offering to Japan in 2027.
