Web Travel Group to Defend Class Action Filed in Victoria Supreme Court

Web Travel Group (ASX:WEB) confirmed it will defend class action proceedings filed against the company by Slater and Gordon in the Victoria Supreme Court on Thursday, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The proceedings were filed on behalf of a group of shareholders who acquired an interest in company shares between March 21, 2024, and Oct. 13, 2024, with allegations of contraventions in relation to misleading or deceptive conduct and continuous disclosure obligations concerning total transaction value margin representations, the filing said.
Shares rose nearly 2% in morning trade Friday.
