INNIO Shares Drop on Net Loss in First Post-IPO Quarter

Shares of INNIO fell after the company reported a net loss in its first earnings report since its initial public offering in June.

Shares were recently down about 12% at $23.73 in Tuesday trading. This is the company's first quarterly report after its June 5 IPO.

The company reported a net loss of $16.9 million, or 2 cents a share, compared with net income of $62.4 million, or 8 cents a share, a year earlier.

Adjusted earnings were 8 cents a share, compared with analysts' expectations of negative 6 cents a share, according to FactSet.

Sales come in at $937.7 million. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected $881.7 million.

The company said the net loss mainly reflected about $81 million of one-time costs tied to its IPO and public market readiness.
