Shares of Shimmick rose after the infrastructure solutions provider said it secured over $265 million in new project awards across its water and industrial, and energy and infrastructure businesses.
The stock was up 11% to $4.05 Monday, and rose nearly 39% since the start of the year.
The company said the award expands its backlog and reinforces its position in critical infrastructure markets, spanning flood protection, water treatment, transportation and electrification.
Shimmick was given awards that span issues including, strengthening water infrastructure and climate resiliency, advancing sustainable transportation and supporting energy transition and electrification, the company said.
