Sherwin-Williams (SHW) reported Q2 adjusted net income Tuesday of $3.70 per diluted share, up from $3.38 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $3.52.
Net sales for the quarter ended June 30 were $6.79 billion, compared with $6.31 billion a year earlier.
Analysts expected $6.6 billion.
The company said it expects Q3 net sales to grow by mid to high-single digit percent from a year earlier. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $6.65 billion.
For 2026, Sherwin-Williams raised its guidance and now expects adjusted diluted net income of $11.80 to $12.20, compared with prior outlook of $11.50 to $11.90. Analysts expect $11.76. Full-year net sales are now expected to grow in the mid- to high-single-digit percentage range, compared with low to mid-single-digit percentage range previously. Analysts expect $24.72 billion.
Shares of the company were up 5.3% in premarket activity Tuesday.
