GlaxoSmithKline PLC reported Q2 core earnings Tuesday of about 0.50 British pound ($0.67) per share, up from about 0.47 pound a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected 0.46 pounds.
Sales for the quarter ended June 30 were 8.41 billion pounds, up from 7.99 billion pounds a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected 8.25 billion pounds.
For 2026, the pharmaceutical company reaffirmed at-constant-exchange-rate guidance for core EPS to increase 7% to 9%, at the lower half of that range, and for turnover to increase 3% to 5%, at the upper half of that range.
