Knowledge Atlas Technology (HKG:2513), also known as Z.ai, has completed a 1-gigawatt AI computing data center powered entirely by domestically produced chips, the South China Morning Post reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The Beijing-based company, formerly known as Zhipu, said the facility will support its GLM family of AI models, including its flagship GLM-5.2, and help ease computing bottlenecks and improve inference efficiency, according to the report.

The report also said the company completed the acquisition of Chinese infrastructure software developer XCore Sigma, whose software helps improve AI chip utilization across different vendors and accelerates model deployment.
