VeriSign Q2 Earnings, Revenue Rise

VeriSign (VRSN) reported Q2 earnings late Thursday of $2.38 per diluted share, up from $2.21 a year earlier.

Two analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.36.

Revenue in the three months ended June 30 rose to $434.6 million from $409.9 million a year earlier.

Four analysts expected $433.2 million.

The company maintained its dividend at $0.81 a share, payable Aug. 27 to stockholders of record Aug. 19.

VeriSign shares fell 2.2% in after-hours trading.
