Eden Innovations (ASX:EDE) said concrete mix trials conducted by the Indian government agency Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) showed that its EdenCrete Pz7 products improve strength, abrasion resistance, and shrinkage performance compared to control mixes, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The EdenCrete Pz7-enriched concrete mixes, with between 0.25 liters and 0.3 liters of EdenCrete Pz7 per cubic meter of concrete, reportedly reduced abrasion loss by up to 28%, while the drying-shrinkage of concrete was cut by up to 25%. It increased the compressive strength by up to 19% and flexural strength by up to 14%.

It had no significant effect on fresh or dry density of paving-grade concrete mixes.

Eden India plans to collaborate with CRRI to accelerate appropriate field trials of EdenCrete-enriched concrete for new highways and white topping highway repairs.

Its shares rose 2% in recent trading on Wednesday.
