VivoSim Enters China Market With Initial Preclinical Testing Contracts

VivoSim (VIVS) said Tuesday it won its first commercial agreements in mainland China to provide preclinical safety and drug efficacy testing services.

The initial contracts with an oncology biotechnology company in Shanghai and a pharmaceutical business in Chengdu involve gastrointestinal toxicology screening and efficacy profiling for candidate molecules, the company said.

The company obtained both customer orders through its regional distributor Tekon, VivoSim said.

Shares of the company were up 17% in Tuesday premarket trading.
