Sunrise Energy Metals Speeds Up Study to Assess Expanded Production Capacity at New South Wales Scandium Project

Sunrise Energy Metals (ASX:SRL) sped up studies at the Syerston scandium project in New South Wales to assess boosting production capacity to 180 tonnes per annum (tpa) of scandium oxide, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The studies are assessing an additional 120 tpa scandium oxide production train, including the relative capital efficiency, plant configuration, operating cost profile, and execution requirements.
Its development plan for the initial 60 tpa operation remains targeted toward commercial production in 2028, subject to completion of engineering, financing, a final investment decision, and other customary requirements.
Its shares were up 2% in recent trading on Thursday.
