SK Hynix (KRX:000660) plans to build P&T7, its next-generation advanced packaging and testing facility, in South Korea's Cheongju, the chipmaker said in a Wednesday filing with the Korea Exchange.
The company will invest a total of 7.09 trillion won to build the facility. The new production base is aimed at meeting the global demand for AI memory semiconductors.
The facility is expected to be built by Dec. 31, 2032.
