NewcelX Obtains Patent in Brazil for Potential Type 1 Diabetes Treatment

NewcelX (NCEL) has obtained a patent from the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office protecting the manufacturing process of its lead clinical compound, NCEL-101, the company said Wednesday.

The patent, which covers its cell selection and enrichment technology, is valid until November 2036, the company said.

NewcelX said it recently completed a type B pre-Investigation New Drug meeting with the US Food and Drug Administration, regarding the drug, which is targeted at treating type 1 diabetes in combination with Eledon's anti-CD40L monoclonal antibody.
