Financial stocks were mostly higher pre-bell Monday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) gaining by 0.4%.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) rose 1.3%, and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 1.1% lower.
First Hawaiian (FHB) shares traded down 6% in early hours activity, while TriCo Bancshares (TCBK) was up 7% after the companies signed a definitive agreement for First Hawaiian to acquire TriCo in an all-stock transaction.
