Coronado Global Resources (ASX:CRN) appointed Barend van der Merwe as chief executive officer, effective Aug. 1, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The met coal producer said van der Merwe has served as its chief financial officer and a member of the executive leadership team since 2025. He will take over from founder and interim CEO Gerry Spindler, who will stay on as a nonexecutive board director.
