CapitaLand Investment (SGX:9CI) dissolved its special opportunities team, winding down a unit established to pursue higher-risk investment opportunities, Bloomberg News reported Monday.

While the five-person team's head, Gabriel Fong, left in December 2025, two additional team members departed in June 2026 and the others were redeployed to other parts of the business, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.

The company will now consider special situations investments on a case-by-case basis if attractive opportunities arise, according to the report.

CapitaLand Investment did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
