Shares of Navitas fell after Wolfspeed filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the gallium nitride semiconductor developer.
The stock was down 9.5% to $12.72 in recent trading. Despite the intraday decline, shares were up 78% since the start of the year.
Wolfspeed, a semiconductor technology company, alleged several of Navitas's major product lines, including GaN-based FETs and its GenerSiC MOSFETs and SiCPak modules, infringed on Wolfspeed patents, in accordance with semiconductor and high-power electronic provisions of patent law.
Navitas on Wednesday said it disputes Wolfspeed's claims.
