Pop Mart's 2Q Revenue Growth Could Slow on Labubu Fatigue

0505 GMT - Pop Mart International could see a meaningful slowdown in its 2Q revenue on overseas weakness and fatigue for its key intellectual property Labubu, says Deutsche Bank's Sammi Xu in a note. The Chinese doll maker's 2Q top line is likely to rise only 1.6% on year, compared with the 75%-80% growth in 1Q,implying a decline of 16.3% on quarter, the analyst says. New product launches and overseas store expansion were likely insufficient to offset a tougher base and cooling demand, Xu adds. The analyst expects further deterioration over 3Q-4Q as sale momentum weakens, as the IP cycle could already be past its peak. Deutsche Bank retains its sell rating and target price of 140.00 Hong Kong dollars. Shares fall 2.5% to HK$151.00. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
