Xiaomi (HKG:1810) on Thursday announced plans to launch a so-called extended-range electric vehicle under the Sky Nomad brand name, according to multiple media reports Thursday.
The launch of the SUV series represents the company's push into automobiles as growth slows in its mainstay smartphone market, Reuters reported.
Xiaomi did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
