1749 ET - As "The Odyssey" comes out next Friday, Mike Hickey, an analyst at Benchmark, anticipates the movie will generate approximately $1 billion in the total worldwide box office, including roughly $325 million domestically. If IMAX captures 20% of the film's revenue it stands to gain $200 million, which would mark it the highest-grossing IMAX release of 2026. Hickey added that because "The Odyssey" was filmed entirely on IMAX cameras its success could encourage more filmmakers to leverage IMAX's proprietary camera technology to strengthen their competitiveness in the movie industry.(grace.yoon@wsj.com)
