AusQuest Says Maiden Drilling at Peru Project Confirms Prospectivity for Iron-Oxide Copper-Gold Mineralization

AusQuest (ASX:AQD) said assays received from the maiden reverse circulation drilling program at its Playa Kali copper-gold project in Peru confirmed the prospectivity of the area for the discovery of iron-oxide copper-gold mineralization, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
It hit intercepts of 12 meters at 0.2% grade of copper and 0.05 grams per tonne grade of gold, as well as 10 meters at 0.37% grade of copper.
A review of all the multi-element geochemical data from both the drilling and surface sampling programs, as well as the magnetic modelling, is currently in progress.
Its shares jumped 2% in recent trading on Wednesday.
