DroneShield Releases Drone Software for Q3; Shares Up 6%

DroneShield (ASX:DRO) released its drone software for the third quarter with firmware enhancements designed to improve radio frequency detection, the defense technology company said in a statement on Monday.

Testing of the previous release in the second quarter showed improvements in radio frequency sensing, with results varying based on drone type and operating frequency, the company said.

Based on test results, the software for DroneSentry-X Mk2 logged 58% faster track updates, 15% better directional accuracy, and 3% more accurate tracking, the company said. The software for RfPatrol Mk2 Wideband recorded 9% faster track updates, 5% more accurate tracking, and 3% increase in detection range.

Shares rose nearly 6% in morning trade Monday.
