Prospect Resources (ASX:PSC) metallurgical test work samples from the Kabikupa deposit at the Mumbezhi project in Zambia produced high-grade copper concentrates, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The Kabikupa transition zone composite recorded a copper concentrate grade of nearly 32% at almost 95% copper recovery after a single cleaning stage, while the low-grade fresh zone composite achieved a copper concentrate grade of 25% at 94% copper recovery, the filing said.

The company is targeting further mineral resource growth within the Nyungu Hub and testing regional targets across its license holdings, per the filing.

Shares rose 2% in morning trade on Thursday.
