IDP's Outlook Seems More Challenging Than Expected -- Market Talk

0115 GMT - IDP Education's near-term outlook appears more challenging than initially anticipated, Morgan Stanley analysts warn. They tell clients in a note that the student-placement provider continues to face regulatory and policy headwinds in key markets such as Australia and the U.K. The had previously expected international student numbers to stabilize in FY 2027, but now forecast a 15% decline. At the same time, MS now anticipates a 5% fall in English-language testing volumes. MS slashes its target price on the stock by 55% to 2.50 Australian dollars but maintains an equal-weight rating.
