RPC Chief Executive Ben Palmer will step down by the end of the year following a three-decade career at the oilfield services company.

The company said Tuesday that it had launched a search for his successor, which is intended to wrap up by the end of the year. Palmer will continue serving until Dec. 31 or a successor is named, whichever comes first.

He will remain an adviser to the company to support the transition, RPC said.

Palmer was appointed CEO in 2022 after serving as finance chief and treasurer since 1996.
