IDP Education Keeps Bull Despite Revenue Pressure -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Jun 22

0039 GMT - IDP Education keeps its bull at Jefferies despite ongoing revenue pressure on the student-placement provider. Retaining a buy rating on the stock, analyst Jennifer Xu tells clients in a note that the Australian company's latest update suggests that earnings margins are holding up amid cost discipline and solid yield outcomes. The newly announced buyback and additional cost efficiencies could further support earnings, she says. Xu adds that English-language testing should provide some revenue support, noting an increasing number of test sites in China. Jefferies cuts its target price on the stock 58% to 3.30 Australian dollars. Shares are down 2.15% at A$2.505. (stuart.condie@wsj.com)
