1307 GMT - An extended period of interest rates staying on hold beckons at the Bank of England, though most rate-setters accept risks that rates might have to rise, Pantheon Macroeconomics' Rob Wood says in a note. Policymakers stress they remain attentive to the risk of oil prices remaining elevated for a longer period. Still, unchanged guidance may have disappointed some probability priced into markets that more two rate setters would potentially vote to hike rates at July's meeting, Wood says. While there was commentary on inflation undershooting expectations recently, policymakers see little evidence of a rapid hit to demand from the Middle East conflict, he notes. Pantheon expects U.K. interest rates to stay at 3.75% through end-2027, Wood says. (edward.frankl@wsj.com)
