Boss Energy (ASX:BOE) said enCore Energy's ongoing drilling at Alta Mesa East, a part of the Alta Mesa joint venture (JV) in Texas, confirmed the presence of uranium mineralization, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

Boss Energy owns a 30% stake in the JV, while enCore is the manager and holds a 70% stake.

Drilling at Alta Mesa East, adjacent to the Alta Mesa well fields and extraction operations, discovered mineralization within sands at an average depth between 400 feet and 460 feet, and within sands between 480 feet and 520 feet, the company said.

A drill hole intersected 8.5 feet of mineralization grading nearly 0.2% of triuranium octoxide, for a grade thickness of 1.7, from a depth of 487 feet.

Boss Energy's shares rose nearly 3% in recent trading on Wednesday.
