0645 GMT - Sterling shows little reaction to the latest U.K. jobs data as investors await the Bank of England's policy decision later in the day.The unemployment rate fell to 4.9% in the three months to April from 5.0% in the previous quarter. Economists in a WSJ survey had expected 5.0%. Average earnings excluding bonuses rose 3.4% over the same period, above the 3.2% expected. The BOE announces its decision at 1100 GMT and is widely expected to leave rates unchanged. The focus is on any guidance about whether it could raise rates later this year. Sterling rises 0.2% against the dollar to $1.3313, up from $1.3298 before the data. However, the euro trades flat at 0.8560 pounds, little changed from before the data. (renae.dyer@wsj.com)
