0500 GMT - First Resources looks attractive on the stock's dividend yield of around 6% and other factors, Maybank Research's Ong Chee Ting says in a research report. Given the absence of capital-expenditure plans, the palm oil producer has increased its dividend payout ratio to 60% of underlying net profit from 2026 onward, compared with 50% previously, the analyst notes. Also, the company still has a relatively healthy balance sheet with manageable net gearing of 40% as at December 2025. Maybank Research upgrades the stock's rating to buy from hold, partly due to it trading at around 10X P/E, and maintains a target price of 3.84 Singapore dollars. Shares are 4.25% higher at S$3.19.
