Jun 18

0732 GMT - Yields on U.K. government bonds are steady after the latest jobs data showed weakness in the labor market. The unemployment rate declined modestly to 4.9% in February to April, from 5.0% in January to March, but remains relatively elevated. Focus is on the Bank of England interest rate decision due at 1100 GMT when interest rates are widely expected to stay on hold at 3.75%. Investors will pay attention to the vote split and the BOE communication to gain clues on the possible direction of future rate decisions. Ten-year gilt yields are little changed at 4.762%, Tradeweb data show. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
