BOE Rate Decision Unlikely to Significantly Influence Gilt Yield Movements -- Market Talk

1126 GMT - The Bank of England's interest-rate decision on Thursday is unlikely to materially move yields on U.K. government bonds, or gilts, TD Securities strategists say in a note. Investors price in a 96% chance of the BOE leaving interest rates unchanged at 3.75% at the policy decision, LSEG data show. Two BOE members of the monetary policy committee, Huw Pill and Megan Greene, could vote for a rate increase while the other seven members are likely to favor keeping rates on hold, the strategists say. Ten-year gilt yields are down 6.3 basis points at 4.742% following earlier weaker-than-expected U.K. inflation data. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
