Altair Minerals Says Auger Drilling at Guyana Prospect Increases Confidence That Soil Anomalies Are Reflective of Underlying System

Altair Minerals (ASX:ALR) said auger drilling completed at the South Oko prospect, part of the Greater Oko project in Guyana, to an average depth of 2.5 meters, showed enrichment into the regolith profile, increasing confidence that the soil anomalies are reflective of an underlying system, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

Across a 350-meter-wide section, the average soil anomaly response was 9 parts-per-million (ppm) grade of gold, while the average auger anomaly response was 70 ppm grade of gold right below laterite cover.

Auger results also extended the W1 Geochemical target by around 250 meters. A regional and extensional soil sampling program has begun across South Oko.

Relogging and remodelling of historic diamond drill holes at the North Peters prospect identified a potential structurally controlled mineralized system.
