Further Decline in Oil Prices Could See Investors Cut Back BOE Rate Hike Bets -- Market Talk

1243 GMT - If oil prices fall considerably, it could allow investors to reduce expectations of the Bank of England raising interest rates in the coming months, TD Securities' Pooja Kumra says in a note. Markets currently price in a total of 26 basis points of BOE rate rises in 2026, LSEG data show. The Brent crude price has declined to last trade at $79.5 a barrel, from around $95 per barrel a week ago prior to the U.S.-Iran peace deal. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
