1154 GMT - Markets could shift back to expecting interest-rate cuts from the Bank of England if Middle East tensions continue to ease and energy prices stay contained, Jefferies' Modupe Adegbembo says in a note. U.K. inflation data for May came in weaker than expected, reducing the need for rate hikes in the coming months. Investors currently price in a total of 26 basis points of BOE rate rises in 2026, slightly lower than the 28bps of rate hikes priced in prior to the data release, LSEG data show.
