Sandon Capital Investments (ASX:SNC) said a general meeting of its noteholders approved the amendments to the terms of its unsecured notes, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The restructuring will allow the firm to extend the notes until up to July 10, 2030, at a new fixed interest rate of 8.5% per year, up from the previous rate of 4.8%. It will also rework interest payments to a monthly basis from the previous semi-annual structure, and provide an early redemption option at the company's discretion at any time after July 10, 2028, an earlier filing showed.

Sandon Capital and Melbourne Securities, as trustee of the notes, plan to execute an amending deed to give effect to the amendments.

The Sandon Capital board also said that the placement of new notes to raise about AU$10 million is now unconditional. Settlement of the placement is expected to occur on June 30.

Its shares rose 1% in recent trading on Friday.
