1334 ET - Netflix and iHeartMedia are growing the lineup of video podcasts under their exclusive partnership. Under the agreement, podcasts from Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson, Lele Pons and Martha Stewart will launch as video shows on Netflix, the companies say. The agreement includes all new episodes from the podcast lineup as well as a select library episodes from each show. The latest collection of podcasts will begin rolling out on in the coming months and comes as Netflix works to broaden its content portfolio, including with more live content. iHeartMedia retains all audio-only rights and distribution for the shows included in the deal, and all podcasts will continue to be available on iHeartRadio. 0857 ET - Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch says about half of all television consumption now takes place within the streaming ecosystem, up from about 25% at the beginning of the decade. The high number of competing streaming services, though, makes for an increasingly fragmented landscape in which discovery and navigation are more complex, he continues. "We are seeing a clear consumer preference for aggregation," Murdoch says on a call with analysts. "Consumers are gravitating toward more unified experiences on their favorite platforms like Roku." Fox shares are off 14% premarket. (connor.hart@wsj.com)

0835 ET - Telia shares more than discount the Swedish telecommunications operator's growth in cash flow, Berenberg analysts write. A combination of cost cuts and stronger service revenue growth in Sweden has offset Telia's weaker trading in Finland and Norway, the bank says. "We expect solid momentum in 2026, and for Telia to reach free cash flow of 10 billion Swedish kronor from 2027." Telia's share price has risen by 97% since new management joined in late 2023/early 2024, outperforming the sector by 23% and leaving the stock at a premium, Berenberg says. Other telecoms companies now offer greater potential savings and clearer benefits from consolidation, it adds. Berenberg downgrades the Telia stock rating to sell from hold and lifts its price target to 40 kronor from 31 kronor. Shares fall 3.5% to 49.88 kronor. (dominic.chopping@wsj.com)

0816 ET - Fox says its $22 billion purchase of Roku will create the third-largest player in the U.S. television market in terms of share of viewers. "This is a defining moment for Fox," CEO Lachlan Murdoch says. Roku's platform reaches more than 100 million households globally. "The combination with Fox is an extraordinary opportunity to accelerate our vision, scale faster and innovate more aggressively for viewers, partners and advertisers," Roku CEO Anthony Wood says. Wood will have an ongoing role at the combined company, as well as a seat on the Fox board following the deal's closure. Fox shares sink 13% premarket. (connor.hart@wsj.com)

0750 ET - Fox's acquisition of Roku could pivot the company toward streaming and create a leader in free ad-supported streaming, JPMorgan analysts say in a research note. "The company is already in streaming and a contender in the (free ad-supported streaming) space with Tubi, but has expressed frustration at times with investor recognition on this point," the analysts write. "A Roku deal would fundamentally pivot the business toward digital and answer long-term concerns about a legacy in PayTV." The analysts say Fox stands to benefit from gaining digital distribution into over 100 million homes for its network, news and sports programming. Though, they warn Roku ownership and integration could bring execution risk and complication to what is otherwise a relatively straightforward narrative. Fox shares sink 13% premarket. 0622 ET - Shares of European semiconductor companies are on the rise after the U.S. and Iran agreed on an interim peace deal that would reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Shares of Dutch semiconductor-equipment maker ASML Holding and smaller rival ASM International are up 1.1% and 1.9%, respectively. Shares of BE Semiconductor Industries, the Dutch supplier of semiconductor assembly equipment, are up 1.3%. German chip maker Infineon Technologies is up 0.2%. STMicroelectronics shares are up 1.7%. Meanwhile, the E-mini Nasdaq 100 futures contract is up 2%. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)

0336 ET - South Korean equities are likely to be supported by continued earnings growth in memory companies and government stimulus, Citi analysts say in a note. The net profit of companies on the Kospi are likely to grow by 231% on year in 2026 on robust, semiconductor-driven gross-domestic product growth and stronger fundamentals in manufacturing, they say. Earnings growth in 2027 is likely to broaden across artificial intelligence, robotics, exporters and manufacturing, while memory-supply shortage should continue to boost memory makers. Citi remains selective on South Korean stocks, preferring names with resilient earnings outlooks. Citi raises its Kospi target to 10000 from 8500. The index last closed 5.2% higher at 8545.98. 0247 ET - China's battery sector is likely to benefit from strong energy-transition-linked momentum, say DBS Group Research's Tina Hu and Pei Hwa Ho in a note. The instability of wind and solar power generation has bolstered demand for energy storage, they say, noting clean energy's rising prevalence in markets like Europe and China. Global energy-storage project installations are likely to increase at a 29% compound annual growth rate over 2025-2030, the analysts say. China is likely to continue dominating the global energy-storage supply chain, given its scale cost advantages and network buildout, they add. DBS's top sector pick is Contemporary Amperex Technology, as its battery assets remain essential for battery energy storage systems to achieve reliable long-term operations. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)

0030 ET - Zhipu AI is set to benefit from its new open-source model launch, Macquarie Capital's Ellie Jiang says in a research note. The launch of GLM-5.2 is likely to strengthen the company's pricing power in subsequent subscription plans, which should continue to drive robust annual recurring revenue momentum, the head of Asia internet and media research says. Key catalysts include the new model's API plan and pricing details, and independent benchmark coverage, she adds. Macquarie Capital maintains an outperform rating on the stock with a 12-month target price of HK$1,221.40. Shares are 28% higher at HK$1,404.00. (tracy.qu@wsj.com)

2358 ET - NetEase Cloud Music's shares appear deeply undervalued to Morningstar's Ivan Su after its share-price roughly halved over the past year on investors pricing in market share losses. While a report states rival Soda Music's monthly-active users have surpassed NetEase Cloud's for the first time, Su believes Bytedance-linked Soda's gains are concentrated in free, advertising-supported users, which typically contribute little to such music services' profitability. NetEase Cloud's shares currently trade around one-third of Morningstar's valuation and imply a structural erosion of the Chinese music streaming platform's subscribers and pricing power, which seems too pessimistic, the analyst says. Morningstar maintains its fair-value estimate of 340.00 Hong Kong dollars. Shares are down 2.3% at HK$117.89. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)

2320 ET - MiniMax's shares have room to catch up with peer Zhipu AI, which is currently trading over three times MiniMax's share price, BofA Securities analysts say in a research note. Between the two, Zhipu's premium reflects faster annual recurring revenue, stronger talent density and its lead in enterprise revenue exposure, BofA says. However, the earnings-per-share difference between the two appears too wide at this stage, they say. "We see scope for a MiniMax catch-up trade post lock-up expiry (Jul 8), supported by potential Southbound inclusion (early Aug) & enterprise revenue catch-up post M3 [model] launch," they say. BofA has a buy rating on both Zhipu and MiniMax. Zhipu's shares are last at HK$1,404.00, while MiniMax is at HK$388.60. (tracy.qu@wsj.com)

2320 ET - SK Hynix's earnings momentum is likely to strengthen in 2H, driven by rising memory prices amid robust AI demand, Daiwa Capital Markets' SK Kim says in a research report. SK Hynix and Nvidia unveiled a multi-year technology partnership for next-generation memory last week, the analyst notes.SK Group's chairman has provided guidance for doubling capacity until 2030, assuming supply shortages will persist due to AI demand. Daiwa also sees the Korean chip maker expanding equipment orders for the HBM4 memory chip, which will probably accelerate production in 2H. The brokerage raises the stock's target price to 3,600,000 won from 1,670,000 won to reflect valuation-method change, while maintaining the buy rating. Shares are 6.4% higher at 2,288,000 won.
