0752 GMT - Sterling could fall if the Bank of England dampens the prospect of raising interest rates and U.K. political concerns rise, ING's Chris Turner says in a note. Lower energy prices after the U.S. and Iran agreed an interim peace deal could raise questions over whether the BOE needs to increase rates at all, he says. BOE Gov. Andrew Bailey will "have to walk a fine line" at Thursday's meeting when rates are expected to held steady. Meanwhile, a victory by Andy Burnham in a U.K. special election Thursday would likely trigger a leadership challenge for Prime Minister Keir Starmer, he says. Sterling rises 0.2% to $1.3428 against a weaker dollar but the euro rises 0.2% to 0.8641 pounds. (renae.dyer@wsj.com)
