Grifols (GRFS) has launched Fesilty, its new fibrinogen concentrate for the treatment of acute bleeding episodes in pediatric and adult patients with congenital fibrinogen deficiency, in the US, the company said Monday,

Fesilty was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in December, the company said.

Congenital fibrinogen deficiency is a rare inherited condition caused by genetic mutations that impair the production or efficacy of the fibrinogen essential for blood clotting and wound healing.
