Investors Cut Back BOE Rate Hike Expectations After U.S.-Iran Agreement -- Market Talk

0737 GMT - Investors lower their expectations for the Bank of England to raise interest rates, after the U.S. and Iran reach a deal to end conflict. Following the announcement, Brent crude price is down 5% at $82.9 a barrel, calming market fears about the risk of inflation from high energy prices. Investors currently price in a total of 26 basis points of BOE rate rises in 2026, down 11 basis points from Friday's pricing, LSEG data show. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
