Auckland International Airport's Total Passenger Movements Fall in May

Auckland International Airport (ASX:AIA, NZE:AIA) recorded 1.4 million total passenger movements in May, down 1% year on year, according to a Monday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.

Total passenger movements for the financial year to date reached 17.7 million in May, marking a 2% year-on-year increase, per the filing.

Total international passenger movements fell 2% to 745,889, the filing added.

Excluding transits, international passenger movements decreased by 3%. International seat capacity fell 4%, resulting in average load factors of 82%, a 1.6 percentage-point increase year on year, the company said.

Domestic passenger movements remained flat at 666,386.
