Insiders purchase with the hope of seeing their investments increase in value over time. However, due to recent losses, their initial investment is now only worth AU$1.76m, which is not great.     While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing,  we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.  Trump has pledged to \"unleash\" American oil and gas and these 15 US stocks have developments that are poised to benefit.Advertisement The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Pureprofile   The insider Danny Kontos made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for AU$1.2m worth of shares at a price of AU$0.045 each.    That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of AU$0.031.  It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company.  We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares.   As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock if insiders have bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price.       Over the last year, we can see that insiders have bought 56.85m shares worth AU$2.6m.  On the other hand they divested 1.60m shares, for AU$54k.
