Peel Mining Says Shareholders Vote in Favor of Aeris Acquisition, Spectre Metals Demerger

Peel Mining (ASX:PEX) said its shareholders voted in favor of a proposed scheme of arrangement under which Aeris Resources (ASX:AIS) will acquire 100% of the issued shares in Peel, and the demerger of Spectre Metals from Peel via a capital reduction and pro rata in-specie distribution of 100% of the shares in Spectre to Peel shareholders, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The company said almost 100% of the votes cast by Peel shareholders were in favor of the scheme resolution.

The scheme remains subject to the approval of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and certain other conditions.

Peel Mining's shares jumped 3% in recent Monday trade, while Aeris Resources' shares surged past 9%.
