0906 GMT - The initial market reaction to GSK's $10.6 billion acquisition of cancer specialist Nuvalent points to some trepidation among investors about the size of the deal, AJ Bell's Russ Mould says. Nuvalent is the U.K. drugmaker's biggest acquisition in years and fits with its goal of turning oncology into a key growth engine for the group, Mould says. "GSK is paying a hefty premium to get the deal over the line and the two big lung cancer products flagged by [GSK CEO Luke] Miels in heralding the takeover still await regulatory approval," Mould says. "In rolling the dice on such a big transaction, he is undoubtedly taking a risk." GSK shares fall 3.3%. Nuvalent jumps 38% in U.S. premarket trading. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
