JPMorgan Chase (JPM) is hiring Nomura's (NMR) international AI strategy head, Tahir Zafar, as the bank strengthens its artificial intelligence workforce to advance productivity and automation efforts, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

Singapore-based Zafar, who joined Nomura in 2023, is expected to join JPMorgan in July after completing gardening leave and will be part of a regional team led by Asia-Pacific Chief Data and Analytics Officer Deep Thomas, the report added.

JPMorgan Chase and Nomura didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
