Fractyl Health (GUTS) said Thursday that one-year data from an open label study showed that its Revita procedure could sustain weight loss among individuals who had reduced their body weight using GLP-1 medication.
Data showed that participants who underwent a single Revita procedure maintained about 78% of their prior GLP-1-induced weight loss at one year, with 33% of patients continuing to lose weight a year after discontinuing a GLP-1 medication, the company said.
The study, which had 22 participants, showed no procedure-related serious adverse events or new adverse events, the company said, adding it expects data readouts from other cohorts in H2.
Shares of the company were up 2.6% in premarket activity Thursday.
