Jade Biosciences (JBIO) said Monday that interim phase 1 trial results showed its experimental immunoglobulin A nephropathy treatment, JADE101, delivered rapid, deep and sustained reductions in IgA levels in healthy volunteers.

The company said JADE101 achieved about 70% reductions in IgA levels that were sustained for 12 weeks at the 700 mg dose. The therapy was generally well tolerated across all tested dose levels, with no serious adverse events or study discontinuations reported, the company said.

Jade said the data suggest JADE101 could potentially be administered once every 12 weeks, supporting a more convenient dosing schedule than existing therapies.

Shares of Jade Biosciences were 9.8% higher in premarket trading.
