XPeng Q1 Adjusted Loss Widens, Revenue Falls; Shares Up Pre-Bell

XPeng (XPEV) reported Q1 adjusted loss Thursday of 1.76 Chinese renminbi ($0.26) per diluted American depositary share, widening from a loss of 0.45 renminbi a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected a loss of 1.12 renminbi.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was 13.03 billion renminbi, down from 15.81 billion renminbi a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected 12.91 billion renminbi.

For Q2, the company expects revenue between 19.60 billion renminbi and 20.80 billion renminbi. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect 22.16 billion renminbi.

XPeng shares were up 4.3% in premarket activity.
